Overview

Street Angels On-Street Safety Net Service utilises trained and skilled Team Leaders with experienced volunteers to increase safety and reduce the inherent risks to residents and visitors to Mooloolaba during the hours of 8.30pm - 12.30am Friday and Saturday.  This is achieved by identifying key areas of crime and public safety concerns to relevant stakeholders including Maroochy Council and Queensland Police Service.

Street Angels works in cooperation with Local Council, residents, community agencies, security and Police to promote a safe community lifestyle for people within the Mooloolaba district.  This service is an extension of the current outreach safety-net service provided by Street Angels at Mooloolaba and at major events including New Years Eve.

Street Angels provide Retail Crime Prevention through a Safety Net Service conducted at Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore on a Thursday night through the use of skilled Team Leaders and volunteers.

Safety Net Services are also provided at major public events including New Years Eve, Schoolies Week, Grand Finals, Race Days and dance parties.

What We Are Not

Street Angels is not a Security Service.  Street Angels will report incidents to Queensland Police with relevant information to allow them to attend the incident within minimal time.  Emergency situations should be directly called to 000.

Street Angels is not aligned with any religious or church based organisations.
